Match Report
Salisbury Cathedral School Girls-U9A vs  Chafyn Grove Preparatory School
On: Tuesday, 08 Oct 2019
Venue: Away

The U9A girls managed to play some great hockey this Tuesday, despite the ridiculous weather.

The game started with the team passing the ball around and spacing out really well, however two passes back across goal gifted Chafyn a 2 goal lead. Chafyn had one player, in particular, with great skills, who picked up the ball from deep and scored a couple of good solo goals.

After the rain had thinned out, the girls were eager to get back into the action. It was fantastic to see them come back out fighting and having the better of the second half. At this age, the most important thing is enjoyment and seeing the signs of development in the girls' understanding of hockey. I can confidently say that the U9 team demonstrated this incredibly well, looking to let the ball do the work, using the width of the pitch and moving into space; despite the rain, they enjoyed every second!

Extremely proud of every single girl.
