Match Report
Salisbury Cathedral School Boys-U11A vs  Embley
On: Wednesday, 22 Sep 2021
Venue: Away

An excellent afternoon from which all our boys grew in confidence and stature as rugby players. After a promising start, the wind was knocked out of us by some crunching tackles by Embley’s captain who was especially strong and physical. We then had a period of the game where we backed off a bit and Embley was able to take advantage. What was fantastic was how we regrouped at half time and started to play our best direct rugby, with everyone stepping up both defensively and in attack. Embley narrowly won, but SCS finished the stronger team and will look forward to the rematch later this term!

Special mention to our captain, Fraser, who put his heart and soul throughout and Man of the Match goes to Rupert for his sensational work rate and sublime running skills. Jasper equally deserves ‘Man of the Match off the field’ for being tremendously engaging and polite with the opposition during the all important match tea!
