Match Report
Salisbury Cathedral School Boys-U10A vs  Sandroyd
On: Wednesday, 19 Jan 2022
Venue: at Home

The U10A team faced Sandroyd in their first game of the season and it was a pleasure to watch the way they approached the game. Despite not having played a hockey match for two years, they acquitted themselves very well, demonstrating excellent commitment and effort throughout.

It was a pleasure to see the boys playing confidently and not afraid to take on their opponents when in possession. Gabriel and Freddie, in particular, displayed excellent stick skills and carried well throughout the game. In defence, Raffi and Rufus were solid and read the game well to break up Sandroyd's attacks. Behind them, Oli made some excellent saves.

We now need to work on distributing the ball more effectively and creating more goal scoring opportunities.

Despite conceding a goal in the final minutes, the boys should be very proud of their efforts. I was very impressed by their attitude during our chat at the end of the game. They were supportive of each other and had already identified ways in which they could improve.

Well done, boys!
